In the studio 10/26/2014

I didn’t get much painting done today but I did work on Heated Museum Discussion. I wiped the entire surface with denatured alcohol before stating and the paint went on like butter.

I spent most of the day getting my boat, the Betty Jane, ready for winter. This is an annual event I don’t relish. The weather was fine but the lake was choppy so I didn’t take her out. She will be hauled out on the 29th.

I also spent time getting my new studio ready. I’ve converted the garage–a large two-car size room with high ceilings–into a studio. After sealing the garage door, I added a heat vent and–just to make sure–bought a heater. The garage has two windows and OK light. I’ve used it all along as the shop were I stretch and prepare canvases. Today’s session might be the last in the old studio.
