Except for one nice weekend, this has been The Winter That Never Ends. It’s below freezing and overcast with high winds–grrr. A good day to stay inside and work on paintings, right?

I always listen to my iTunes collections when painting. Today it was Tom Waits, one of my favorites. Waits hits a certain mood better than anyone.
I think I mentioned this before but I’ll repeat it for new readers. The paintings in the studio photos are posed–but not for the photo. I always arrange my work at the end of the day so I can study them. Looking at the paintings is as important as doing them.
