Turpentine diaries 3/4/18

The one thing I dislike about my current studio is that it doesn’t have north-facing windows. The direct, late afternoon light makes taking photos a challenge. I took a photo of Trip to Playhouse Square, but the photo had so much surface noise I couldn’t share it. After a good session yesterday, I was able to finish the painting today.  According to my trusty studio journal today’s final session was the 15th.

My work-a-day palettes

I’m preparing nine new canvases; six 40″ x 52,” and three 40″ x 56.” With this batch, the giant canvas roll I bought a few years back will be exhausted.  I’m already pricing linen canvas.
