I worked a little on Break today. The painting is still in the beginning stages and I am still a little tired from our trip to Chicago. Break is part of my Playhouse Square series. Today I worked on the background and the head of the left-most figure.

What is the theme of your Playhouse Square series? Cleveland?
Cleveland is not my theme, no. But Euclid Avenue, Cleveland’s Broadway, is filled with interesting architectural details. Imagine if you took photographs every day from the same spot of the same spot. It’s like having an infinite number of models on your model stand.
